Home Alone (1990) Cast Now –

The original cast list for this classic was short, with only eight major roles. We’ve got all their names in this article, so read on to find out who was who when you were a kid.

Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister

Culkin is well known for his role in Home Alone, but he has played much more than just the young boy left home alone over Christmas.

He is also known for his other roles in The Good Son, My Girl, The Page master and Richie Rich. He stopped acting at the age of 14 to pursue other things, but still appears on screen from time to time, with The Canyons being his latest role.

Joe Pesci as Harry Lyme

Pesci, who is now 66, was once a young man making it big in Hollywood. His role as the short-tempered Harry made him one of the best known characters in the film.

He has since had many roles over his career, most notably Casino and Goodfellas, but he also appeared on screen just last year in The Good Shepherd.

Daniel Stern as Marv Merchants

Stern is another actor who found fame on the big screen in the early eighties. He played alongside Tom Cruise in All The Right Moves, and was also involved with other Hollywood hits such as City Slickers, Rookie of The Year and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.

He recently made his directorial debut with Manhood , which starred some well-known names including Kevin Kline, Paul Rudd and Patricia Arquette. Since then he has been involved with a few TV series and short films, but not much has been heard from him since 2009.

Catherine O’Hara as Kate McCallister

O’Hara is one of those rare actors who manages to find themselves in every good film from the last 20 years. She’s had roles in Beetle Juice, A Simple Wish and Sesame Street, as well as more recent appearances in Tim Burton movies such as Corpse Bride and Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

She also starred as Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice, which led to her being cast alongside Michael Keaton once again for the role of Annie James in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.

John Heard as Peter McCallister

Heard is recognised for his role as the father of Kevin McCallister and husband to Kate McCallister. He appeared on screen just two years before this film was released when he played John Boyle Jr. in Big . His other big roles were in Cat People and and Awakenings .

Heard was found dead in a hotel room at the age of 72 in 2017, having lain undiscovered for two days. Law enforcement later ruled his death as an accidental drowning.

Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz

If you’ve seen Beetlejuice then this name will be very familiar to you. Catherine O’Hara played the role of Delia Deetz, who was also the love interest of Alec Baldwin’s character Adam Maitland. She followed that film up with her appearance in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, before getting involved with various TV series such as Robot Chicken and The Simpsons.

Tim Curry as William ‘Willy’ T. Stolan

Tim Curry was the perfect choice for the role of Willy T. Stolis, taking on his usual character of a manic villain with ease. His other big roles were as Pennywise in It and Wadsworth in Clue , which he reprised for TV. He has also had success with various voice acting roles such as Shrek, Help! I’m A Fish and SpongeBob SquarePants .

Curry was recently diagnosed with Mantle cell lymphoma, but is now recovering well after stem-cell treatment. He will be back on our screens soon enough we’re sure!

Angela Goethals as Linnie McCallister

This girl only appeared in one film during her career: Home Alone. After that she decided to settle down a bit and focus on her studies, but that didn’t stop her from taking on the occasional role. Her last film was in 2000 since when she has been seen in various TV shows such as The Sopranos , Nip/Tuck and Law & Order: Criminal Intent .

Robbie Rist as Cannonball Jackson

In 1990 Robbie Rist was only 17 years old, but he had been acting well before then. His first major role was in 1978’s Animal House alongside John Bel, and he also appeared in 1941 and Christmas Vacation .

Following his role in Home Alone, Robbie took on a few TV roles such as New Kids On The Block’s Hangin’ Tough music video and the series Saved By The Bell: The College Years. His last notable appearance was 10 years ago in My Name Is Earl , so where is he now? Find out below!

Rist currently works as an animal rights advocate and vegan chef. He is also a director of his own organisation called All Terrain Productions which aims to protect wildlife and help rescue abandoned animals. He not only uses this for fundraising purposes but also does outreach work in schools with the non-profit organization Up2Us Sports to encourage kids to participate in team sports in order to get them off the streets and away from crime.

Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen as Megan McCallister

This duo were only eight and six years old when they starred in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, and since then they have become two of the most successful child stars the world has ever seen! They became famous for their role on Full House before taking on more mature roles such as in The Wackness and New York Minute .

Since then, Mary-Kate has been chosen to take over from Elizabeth Taylor whilst Ashley is collaborating with luxury brands like Jimmy Choo! They also launched a brand new clothing line called ‘The Row’ but it seems that they got a little overexcited about this venture…
